Easiest Ever Almond Croissant Breakfast Bake

Ingredients
- 9 mini croissants
- 5 eggs
- 1 and 1/2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons almond extract
- 7-ounce tube almond paste
- 4 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Slice croissants in half horizontally.
- Beat together almond paste and softened butter. Spread over insides of the each croissant and press into buttered 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
- Whisk together eggs, milk, sugar and almond extract. Pour over croissants and let soak for a few minutes.
- Bake assembled croissant bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until light golden brown on the dges and set in the middle.
- Sprinkle with sliced almonds and continue baking for an additional five minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool briefly. Sift powdered sugar atop croissant bake. Slice an serve warm.
