Easiest Ever Almond Croissant Breakfast Bake

Ingredients

  • 9 mini croissants
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 and 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 7-ounce tube almond paste
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Slice croissants in half horizontally.
  3. Beat together almond paste and softened butter. Spread over insides of the each croissant and press into buttered 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
  4. Whisk together eggs, milk, sugar and almond extract. Pour over croissants and let soak for a few minutes.
  5. Bake assembled croissant bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until light golden brown on the dges and set in the middle.
  6. Sprinkle with sliced almonds and continue baking for an additional five minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool briefly. Sift powdered sugar atop croissant bake. Slice an serve warm.
