Salted Caramel Apple Corn
This Salted Caramel Apple Corn didn't last long at our house, I can tell you that! The sweet and salty snack with bite=sized pieces of caramel apple chips scattered throughout is highly addictive. May I suggest making a double batch?
Ingredients
- 1 bag microwave popcorn, popped according to package directions
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2.5 ounce package Seneca Caramel Apple Chips, broken into bite-sized pieces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Heat butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat until butter melts, stirring occasionally.
- Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Remove from heat and add baking soda and vanilla, stirring to incorporate.
- Pour salted caramel over popped popcorn and caramel apple chips in large mixing bowl and stir to distribute evenly.
- Transfer Salted Caramel Apple Corn to large rimmed baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Stir and continue baking an additional 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and spread out onto parchment to cool.
- Break into bite-sized pieces.
