The super simple party-in-your-mouth last hurrah of summer dessert you'll be making on repeat for the foreseeable future.
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 and 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons fresh basil leaves, cut into thin strips
1 pint vanilla ice cream
1. Heat vinegar and brown sugar over medium heat.
2. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved, and mixture is slightly thickened.
3. Add sliced strawberries and basil strips.
4. Remove from heat.
5. Serve Basil-Balsamic Strawberries over scoops of vanilla ice cream.
