And when you come up for air tomorrow, perhaps…arrange a few of the very best leftovers on a slice of buttered toast and drizzle with this velvety smooth cheese sauce deliciousness. I used Swiss, but feel free to stir in whatever yummy cheese you have on hand.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a medium sauce pan over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in flour and cook.
  3. Add chicken stock and 1 cup half and half.
  4. Whisk to incorporate.
  5. Whisk in 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese until smooth.
  6. Arrange your favorite Thanksgiving feast leftovers atop a slice of buttered toast and drizzle with this velvety smooth cheese sauce.
